This patient had an AVR in 2005 and presented with acute chest pain from aortic dissection. Note the clear appearance of a dissection flap in the descending aorta and arch. Colour doppler shows no flow in the false lumen with clot formation.

This is a good example of the gross pathology of an aortic dissection.
